“Thank you Amanda van Gils, I love it! Got it last night and ripped open the packaging around midnight. It’s gorgeous and exceeded expectations. It is going to look great with the others.”

“I got Blink and I am thrilled because I have wanted one of those since I first saw one from a similar earlier series at a gallery in Richmond. I’m thrilled.”
“I enjoy your style. The intention behind it feels really congruent with how I try to live my life.
I found that with the first painting, we bought of yours from the e-motion series. The idea of road-tripping and the emotions behind that resonated with me from my childhood.
And then, with the painting of the Laura street park- the personal significance of that area over the years, and the felt coolness of the colours that just takes me back to that, and other natural places where I’ve felt peaceful and unhurried.
The other aspect of your painting style is the bravery in the strokes and colours.
Having your art around reminds me constantly to take brave steps, live vulnerably and challenge myself. Your art supports my approach to life.
“The moment I saw the piece of art, I knew it was right for me. The movement within the artwork connected with me, and I was immediately taken by the fact that the art simultaneously encouraged me to enjoy the overall depiction of a bush setting and to look deeper and imagine myself within it (its sounds, smells, colours).
I still love it as much as the first day I saw it. The artwork remains a beautiful focal point in my home that enables me to enjoy it every day”
“Amanda’s painting doesn’t need a specific space – it actually creates the space all on its own.
What we’ve found is wherever we put it up, it brings it all together to tell the story of who we are. Interesting, since she didn’t explicitly create it for us, but it is as if she did…”
