Close to Home statement

After the 2019 exhibition Lay of the Land, I paused exhibiting to work on creating and launching The Artists Business Lounge, an online business coaching service for visual artists in all things art business. Then in late 2020, COVID struck and changed things for so many of us.Thankfully, my studio is at home, and my business was online. I organised Table21 (a group exhibition with the first cohort of The Artists Business Lounge just before Brisbane locked down. Naturally, my exhibiting paused during this time.

These paintings are a small selection from my studio during this time. By the time the world opened up again and I was ready to exhibit, I had moved on to quite different work.
